Respected Principal, Vice-Principal, Teachers, and my dear classmates, all of you are welcome.
As you all know that we have gathered here to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, I feel very proud to have the opportunity to speak about such a great man.
When we talk about national integration, I would first like to talk about the person whose most important contribution in uprooting many kinds of evils like discrimination on the basis of caste, class, and gender from our society along with our independence.
He was none other than our father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. He successfully played his part in many freedom struggle movements of India. They inspired millions of people to come in the fight for freedom against the British and because of these joint efforts, the British were forced to give us freedom, which is our birthright as well as our fundamental right.
We should always be grateful to him because he also laid down his life for the progress of India and the service of mankind. Due to his simple life and personality, people could not stop themselves from being attracted to him. He devoted his whole life to the service of society and to free India from the atrocities of the British.
Gandhiji constantly raised his voice against the evils like untouchability prevalent in Indian society. He wanted to create such a society in which all people have equal status because all have been created by one God. They should not be discriminated against. He always strived for the empowerment of women.
Colleagues! It is true that we all have great respect for Gandhiji. But all his dreams will be fulfilled when we follow his ideals like peace, non-violence, truth, equality, respect for women.
I hope that all of you have liked these words of mine and these words of Mahatma Gandhi become a source of inspiration in your life.
