The devil fruits have their origin since the beginning of the series, although the most commonly used to be the Zoan type, which, like the rest, also houses consciousness inside.
These grant their wearer the physical abilities of a particular animal, allowing them to access the powers possessed by these objects, either by transforming into a full beast or a hybrid: a human half beast.
