Yoga Speech – Speech on Yoga for Students and Children in English. A long speech on yoga of 500 words has been provided is helpful for students of classes 7,8,9 and 10. Also, a short speech on yoga of 100-150 words has been given and is helpful for students of classes 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. It is important as this is an enlightening speech that can be used by schools and colleges on Yoga day.

Good morning respected teachers, seniors, and my dear friends,

I heartily welcome you all to our Yoga Auditorium and today is a very special day for our “Stay Fit Organization” as our organization has successfully completed five years of motivating people to stay fit through Yoga. is for As the manager of this organization, I am privileged to host this event.

As you know our organization is all about Yoga and Fitness so in this context I would like to say few words about Yoga and hope it will help to motivate young youth to stay fit.

Today, I would like to present a speech on Yoga day to spread more awareness about this topic among all of you.

Workout trends come and go with time but no other exercise is as constant in the name of exercise as Yoga and it has been in vogue for more than 5000 years. Yoga helps burn calories and strengthen our muscles. It is an all-inclusive workout that focuses on both the mind and the body.

All types of exercises and exercises are done under yoga training which includes deep breathing, relaxation and meditation etc.

So everyone should practice yoga and make it a part of daily routine to get strong, flexible and supple body. Its regular practice helps in improving your body posture when you walk, sit or sleep. This improper posture will help you to reverse the pain that started in your body.

Meditation when combined with yoga can help you further improve your perceptive skills so that you can quickly figure out when to do what needs to be done in order to get a positive result. This work works wonders and you can experience it only if you keep practicing it regularly without stopping.

Remember Yoga is a never ending process. The deeper you go into it, the more useful results you will get. That’s all I have to say.

Good morning respected teachers, seniors, and my dear friends,

As you all know that we have gathered here to celebrate Yoga Day.

I heartily welcome you all to our Yoga Auditorium and today is a very special day for our “Stay Fit Organization” as our organization has successfully completed XXX years of motivating people to stay fit through Yoga. is for As the manager of this organization.

My name is Haaris Hassan, your host for today’s event and one of the co-founders of this group, would like to give a short speech on Yoga and the science and essence behind it.

As you know our organization is all about Yoga and Fitness so in this context I would like to say few words about Yoga and hope it will help to motivate young youth to stay fit.

Many of us do yoga on a daily basis but how many of us actually know what kind of art it is and why it is done? It is basically a method of achieving balance in our body. increasing strength, increasing flexibility and attaining spirituality etc. Yoga also supports a non materialistic way of living. 

Yoga is more precisely described through the use of the Sanskrit word “asana” which means the practice of different types of physical postures or postures.

Different types of asanas are an essential part of yoga. Usually a yoga class starts with simple breathing exercises and then progresses to include soft asanas and then more difficult yoga poses. Yoga asanas are a combination of breathing techniques with guided mediation focusing on all body parts.

There are different aspects for which the instructor guides you these include standing, sitting, back bending, forward bending, upward posture as well as twisting. Apart from these there are other different types of yoga which are specially tailored to suit the different needs of the people. 

For example Hatha Yoga is the most popular form of all yoga asanas and it also deals with breathing exercises and body postures. There are two other types of yoga for those who want to gain spiritual experience in life – karma and bhakti yoga.

It is an art known to humanity for thousands of years and its history dates back to 3,000 BC. is old. Since then it is being practiced by various spiritual masters and Yoga is seen as a discipline taught in various schools and colleges since contemporary times.

The ultimate goal of yoga is to help one rise above the self and achieve transcendental experiences. Even in the Bhagavad Gita it is written, “A person attains Yoga when he is at peace with himself and the mind is completely free from undisciplined desires, ceases to exist.” Though it is not a religion but it is certainly a way of right living which works towards achieving a sound mind as well as a sound body.

So unleash the power of yoga, feel energized and develop your zest for life.

Good morning respected teachers, seniors, and my dear friends,

As we all know that today is June 21, 2017 and this date has been declared as “International Day of Yoga” by the “United Nations General Assembly”. This date was proposed by our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It is said that on this day the first Yogi (Adi Guru) started imparting the knowledge of Yoga to mankind and became the first Yoga Guru.

First of all it is very important to understand what is Yoga? It is the connection between body and mind or we can also say that it is a way of creating a balance between mind and body. Yoga originated in India and hence it is known worldwide as “Yoga”.

Today the knowledge and practice of Yoga is spreading all over the world which is a very good thing. In yoga, we get to learn about many postures of the body, such as activities to keep ourselves fit, for example, sitting, standing, forward bending, backward bending, standing inverted, etc.

Many yoga postures require flexibility like plow pose, pigeon pose, upper bow pose, fish pose etc. and many people do not have enough flexibility in their body so there are many other yoga movements which do not require flexibility of the body Poses which include mountain pose, chair pose, triangle pose etc. 

As you know Yoga postures are innumerable so the benefits of doing Yoga are also innumerable. Practicing yoga is very beneficial and its practice has the potential to cure many diseases such as respiratory problems, stomach problems, ailments related to the digestive system.

It helps to remove negativity and mental diseases from our body. It helps in reducing the stress level and increasing awareness. Especially for kids it helps in building concentration power and focus.

 It can be said that it is one of the best medicines to treat respiratory problems and is also helpful for diseases like abdominal pain and infections. It also helps in improving the image of the person as automatically if a person is disease free then he will look good and healthy.

After being aware of all these benefits I hope many of you are ready to take up yoga practice to lead a healthy life as we all know that health is wealth.

As today is a special day for our organization so today our organization is giving three days free trial session to all the people who are interested in Yoga. I am assuring you that it is going to change your life because I have experienced it myself. Yoga is the best way to stay healthy and maintain the balance of the body.

With this I would like to conclude my speech and would like to specially thank our management community for organizing such an inspirational event and making it a success.
